Day 29- Milan

Day 29- 13 September 2008 Today we boarded the train and went to Milano. When we arrived we got the bus to our hotel and were told that we were being moved to another hotel. We had to wait over an hour for the guy to take us (during which time we had some free breakfast) and then got in a taxi and headed across town to a new place called Hotel Alba. After waiting out front for 10 minutes in the pooring rain (yes we had taken the rain with us to Milan) we were finally let in (with the owner of the other hotel) and we checked in and finally got into our room after another hour... We then headed to the two major shopping areas so ness could get some retail therapy. These were Corso Buenos Aires (which has about a kilometre of shops) and Via Della Spiga and Via M Napelone (which has every major fancy fashion label such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton and various others). Wallet still as full as when we started, the afternoon was a complete success.
