Day 2- London

Day 2- 17 August 2008 Today commenced with a short trip on the Tube station to Waterloo and then on the London Eye, luckily the crowds were non existence and it only took us 1 minute to get on board. The views were amazing and i was able to see Big Ben and the Parliament for the first time. Yes i was finally in London. We then headed onto the famous London red double decker bus for a tour around London. This was brilliant as we saw all the famous sights that London is well known for giving us a glimpse of what was to come and the exciting adventures to see. We then headed to the Thames and jumped on board a cruise down the Thames with a very interesting guide to Greenwich. Once there we found a nice pub and had a nice meal. We then headed up the greuling steep trek to the top of the royal observatory where we found the camera obsucura - which is a series of telescopes which projects the royal observatory down a tall passage way in the roof onto a lense in real time. Its very anceint and a sight to be seen. I then stood on either side of the prime meridan line and was in both east and western hemispheres of the world on the Longitude 0 degress. I had always heard about this place and i thought it would be a little different. There is clock with the time and line on the ground and thats about it. Still worth the visit to Greenwich though. After passing by the Greenwich market we got on a train and headed back to London and went to East Ham and met up with some of hans friends at a local east ham pub for a few drinks.
