Day 3- London

Day 3 18 August 2008 This monster day began by visiting Leichster Square and getting our half price tickets for a west end show to see Les Miserables. We then headed to the Tower of London. We got a very interesting beefeater as a guide who provided us tails of woe, torture and general history. we then headed to the part of the tower which houses the crown jewels which are amazing in the intricate nature and sparkly appearance. I not sure why the queen does not wear them all the time given that they are definitely a lot of bling. There was quite a number of crowns, septers and other bits of finery. After the tower we headed to Parliament and via a secret underground passage way leading from a government building han use to work in to parliament under big ben) we arrived at the parliament workers pub within the parliament estate. After enjoying a few UK subsidised pints we were on our way to the east end to see Les Mis. The performance was fantastic and everything that you expect in a west end show. The singing and costumes were really good. After a walk over tower bridge we were off home.
